- Recognition follows a year of progress across EvoLiver™, Mursla Bio’s FDA Breakthrough Device-designated liver cancer surveillance test, and the expansion of its TS-EV platform with pharmaceutical partners
Cambridge, UK, and Boston, MA, USA, 26 October 2026: Mursla Bio, a precision medicine and diagnostics company built on tissue-specific extracellular vesicles (TS-EVs), today announced that it has been named Best Emerging Biotech Company at the 18th annual BioUK Awards, presented at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 21 October 2026.
The award was judged by a 33-member panel including industry leaders from Eli Lilly and Company, Eisai, Ipsen and the Rosalind Franklin Institute. BioUK, formerly OBN, is one of the UK’s most established life sciences networks, connecting more than 530 organizations across the sector.
The recognition follows a year of progress on two fronts. Mursla Bio has advanced EvoLiver™, its blood test for liver cancer surveillance in cirrhotic patients, which holds FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and is being evaluated in MEV01, a prospective-led multicenter study. In parallel, the company has extended its TS-EV platform into pharmaceutical applications, including a collaboration with a leading global pharmaceutical company to advance biomarker-guided precision medicine in MASH.
Pierre Arsène, Founder and CEO of Mursla Bio, said: “A jury of senior industry leaders knows what disciplined execution looks like. This recognition belongs to the Mursla team and to the supporters who have backed us from the start.”
